Cricket betting uses three odds formats: decimal, fractional and American. The two examples below will make the differences clear.
Example 1 — Evenly matched teams (backing Team A, stake ৳1,000)

If Team B wins: ৳1,800 return. If Team A wins: ৳1,000 lost. A minus American odds figure always indicates the favourite.
Multi Bet Example
Three separate matches with decimal odds of 1.40, 1.50 and 1.90 — in a multi bet all are multiplied: 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.90 = 3.99 (approximately). A ৳100 stake returns ৳399 — but if any one of the three loses, the full ৳100 is gone. Bigger return, bigger risk.
Odds Shift When a Wicket Falls — Live In-Play
In-play betting means placing bets while the match is in progress — and odds change instantly with every event. When a wicket falls, the batting side's odds lengthen; after a big six, they shorten. The odds at the powerplay will not be the same by the 15th over.
